Metamorphoses and Mercy

Heinrich Himmler, reborn as Phoenix

Whenever someone asks me what is the best example I can give of reincarnation as a way of receiving both justice and mercy, I answer, "you must read about Phoenix." Phoenix is the reincarnation of Heinrich Himmler, the second most powerful man in Nazi Germany. She is a prime example of how the process of learning from our mistakes, however hideous they may be, may be turned to a positive end. Her website about her recall, Sinister in Black, is one of the best personal recall sites I have seen.

Be warned: one of the ways she deals with the past memories is with a good deal of humor. The Nazi Toons are an example of this. Some may find them offensive, because they render people who many see as monsters as images of fun. However, as anyone who has read or seen Harry Potter knows, the way to deal with the worst of our fears is to turn them into images of ridicule - and we are rid of the fears.

Phoenix has dealt with one of the worst "Boggarts" (a Harry Potter creature, that can take on the image of our worst fears) that could possibly come out of a reincarnation closet. She is, as we call her at the Reincarnation Cafe, our "favorite dead Nazi." She is a prime example of what can happen between lives, as we go through a metamorphoses of mercy, and how we can turn that metamorphoses into something positive. Please visit her website.
