Owner Bio

Kevin Koopman (aka Cornhusker),
has been General Manager/Owner/Oil Lord of the Colorado Rockies, which is in it's second reincarnation, since
Season 19. This team was formally known as the lovable Chicago Cubs. Koopman has been around the league like a
traveling gypsy. He first started with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, which he quickly moved to Colorado. Then
growing tired of the wishy-washy fans in Denver, he moved the team out of Denver into Kansas City to reinvent
himself with the Royals. Yet, KC could not keep his wandering heart from moving on. After building his legacy
in KC, he moved to Chicago with a wild idea of winning games in Wrigley.
Cornhusker quickly came to his senses and moved the team to Colorado and shake the Chicago losing blues. A very
smart move on his part.
Cornhusker, not to be confused with football team, amassed his many fortunes in the oil fields of Alaska. Pushing out
the caribou and polar bears, Cornhusker drills for his precious black gold and bathes himself in the tubs of money. When
he feels so inclined, he may give to the little people of Alaska, but he would rather spend the money on the free agent
talent of DBL. He is never one to hold back the cash and loves to have fire sales, and yet, he still manages to put
together a winning team.
Current endeavors besides GM/Owner/Oil Lord duties include many hours doing his best Michelango. He can found in his
studio working on the largest project of his life - a larger than life statue of his boyhood hero, a true native of Nebraska.
No, he is not working on Ernie the Cornhusker, but a statue of Rogers Hornsby. Stars form in the eyes of Cornhusker at the
merest mention of this splendid slugggers name. Let us hope his feelings don't border on the insane, but as a precaution,
guards have been posted at the gravesite of Hornsby. Cornhusker can be heard in the dugout quoting to his players, "Hey, are
you crying? Theres no crying in baseball!"
