In my many years of providing healing services, one of the most frequently heard phrases is, "I don't have (or make) the time to take care of (or give to) myself." While showering one day with the most recent echo of this phrase dancing through my thoughts, it occurred to me that since most people bathe regularly, opportunity for effortless, on-going healing ministrations quite possibly lay within the bathing ritual itself. All that was necessary to facilitate just such a concept was an appropriate soap, something that incorporated more than the aromatherapy and herbal ideas already in the marketplace. While effective and supportive in their own right, I was hoping for something more diverse, a soap purposefully blended to be a holistic healing tool, an extension of the natural healing power of the earth herself. To make a rather long journey short, Sacred Showers soap line was eventually born, the product of this need and a long forgotten, unexplained intuitive urging to make soap.

Drawing upon my many years of healing & energy bodywork experience along with my esoteric vision, Sacred Showers soapcrafting blends traditional, cold-process soapmaking with flower essences, essential oils, herbal tinctures, Kundalini, Reiki & other energy work techniques to produce a dynamic, highly vibrant cleansing & skin care product that simultaneously soothes, heals and nourishes the Soul. It took some exploring to find just the right methods to maintain flower essence effectiveness in the soaps as well as safeguarding the best of any herbal tincture added to a soap blend. Our current soap offerings are the result of these explorations and applied techniques.

My name is Cheryl & I recently relocated from California to the Missouri Ozarks. I have been providing Reiki energys services since 1993, and teaching Reiki, working with flower essences, and managing an active Kundalini since 1996. I began blending soap in June, 2003, and continue to expand and refine soap blending techniques and formulas as my vision grows.

Sacred Showers was born out of my personal growth, following a long suppressed urging to explore soapmaking and prompted by the on-going needs of clients and friends.

By the sheer variety of soap blends I offer, it is easy to see that I love making soap! I also love discovering and developing techniques that maintain or enhance the essential energies and innate healing qualities of the natural ingredients I use. I will never use anything synthetic or questionable in these soaps, even though it means more effort on my part to create essential oil blends or a smaller soap offering than can be compiled using laboratory-made, synthetic fragrance oils such as "key lime pie" or "strawberry fields." I believe the soaps I offer are of such dynamic quality and energetic effectiveness that once experienced, the superficial, short-lived draw from such fragrance oils will be readily passed over for the long-term benefits of my products.
