First Light is a program of confidential, practical assistance to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons in the face of a society that oppresses and denies them the dignity and worth that rightfully belong to all God's creation. It offers a spiritually grounded counter to the notion that homophobia is supported--even mandated--by Christian scripture, and that hatred and bigotry are appropriate and acceptable Christian responses to other human beings.

A fully confidential free service offering
(1) anonymous counseling on basic sexuality and orientation; (2) small fireside groups for sharing personal stories, values, and goals;
(3) individual coaching on your coming out journey; (4) experienced mentorship in faith and lifestyle integration; (5) assistance in healing the rejection, abuse, exclusion and homophobia of institutional religion; (6) a safe place to explore new approaches to a loving, accepting God and constructive human relationships; (7) access to an extensive book, periodical and video library
--any or all of the above.
