We're done by 3:45 and drive to Kingston to find a bite to eat. Nothing much is open but we spot Simple Simon's Pizza. We order "The Big 10" specialty pizza. It reminds us of Pantera's (a blast from our St. Louis past!) I decide to check my voice mail while we wait for our pizza in case M.T. called about fishing tomorrow. Sure enough he left a message around 3:00 to see if we wanted to get together this evening. I called him back around 4:00 but forgot he had given me the lake house number. So I dialed his cell phone and it went to voice mail. I left him a message that we were heading his way since Kingston is half way there.
Diddy was asleep on the job and we snuck by her. She finally scoped us out on the sun porch and she alerted Mike. It was too chilly outside as the sun went down so we went inside. Diddy entertained us with her new toy from Gracie that you can hide a treat in. Mike had a busy day fixing a bathroom leak and hauling brush. We chatted for a while until Bob and I faded from our walk on the golf course in the brisk air. We parted with plans for some striper fishing tomorrow afternoon.
Back home Bob and I read the paper while we waited for the hot water for our showers. It was chilly in The Beauty since we left the windows open way back this morning when we left.
It's 10:40 p.m. and 46.3 degrees.
