Afterwards I went outside with my book to read for a bit in the cool air. Marge was out next door and I sat down to chat and tell her how much we enjoyed the golf course in Onaway she had told us about. Soon Shirley, on the other side of us, came by with Carriage 5th Wheel brochures her and Tom had picked up at a local RV dealer. She wanted to show us a floor plan that had two bedroom sink areas, one with two steps up from the bedroom. The rig was 38+ feet long and had a gross vehicle weight rating of 18,000 lbs!
Soon Paul came back home to find he was outnumbered by three women but Bob brought his lawn chair over and joined us. Next Tom came around the back of our RV with his chair and we said "Now we have to one to talk about!" We chatted for several hours exchanging favorite travel stories. Marge brought out some Petoskey Stones she had when I said I didn't even know exactly what we were supposed to be looking for on the beach. Somehow the conversation always got back to food. Even a pet Iguana "tasted like chicken!" Bob and I were hungry so about 5:00 we all broke up and we headed to The Brown Trout for dinner. It was nice to sit and visit with our new neighbors and enjoy the cool afternoon.
Bob had a Shrimp Pasta dish and I had Tilapia in Coconut Sauce with sweet potato fries. As if that wasn't sinful enough we had chocolate cake with a hard chocolate and pecan glaze. We must still be celebrating. We stopped for fruit at the Village Market on the way home. Sprinkles started falling but it never amounted to much. At the campground office we got a paper and settled in at home to read and work the puzzles.
It's 9:52 p.m. (dark already with the late evening clouds!) and 73.1 degrees; warmer than yesterday but the air is still dry and cool.
