07-16-2005 The Open at St. Andrews

Saturday, July 16, I sat outside early with my coffee and read my book; The Sky Fisherman. Around 9 o'clock I went inside to find Bob with the TV already tuned in to The British Open Championship at St. Andrews (in Scotland for all of you non-golfers.) We pretty much sat around on our duffs and watched the golf all day. Tiger Woods is in the lead but most of the field gained ground on him and made for an exciting finish tomorrow. The golf was over by 2:15 and I broiled some Lobster Cakes and made a big salad and we had a feast.

We've had the A/C on all day. After late afternoon showers we plan to walk down to the office and get a paper if they have one left. We'll bring the laptop and log on to look at some golf courses, etc.

It's 5:04 p.m. and 83.0 degrees.
