MaryAnn walked by and said the average temperatures in New York, where she's from, have been 25 degrees below normal for the last two months. She's glad she lives here now. It is 60 degrees this morning and supposed to be a high of 78 this afternoon. After breakfast Bob and I head to Cedar Crest in Murfreesboro for golf arriving about 10:45. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday they won't let you walk until after 2:00. So we rent a cart and pay $40.00 for both of us (cheap, but we would much rather walk.) The pace of play is slow. Some guys in front of us with a 5 or 6 year old little boy let us play through on number 3. But the whole course is backed up due to the holiday weekend. The guys in the Pro Shops just don't get it. On busy days they think walking creates slow play. But bob and I walked this course in three hours and ten minutes last time we played here. Today's round was almost four hours in a cart! I give up.
We went right on 266 in Smyrna this time and looped through town. We found "Famous Chinese Restaurant Super Buffet" on Lowry Street. We were afraid we'd be disappointed after the great Mongolian BBQ buffet in Lebanon that we've been enjoying. But this place was very similar. Two huge buffet lines boasted lots of variety and excellent quality. We found a few new tastes we loved. The Black Pepper Chicken was my favorite. And we both loved the Boneless Ribs; tasted just like my Dad's BBQ'd pork steaks except the sauce did not make you jump over the rhubarb.
Afterwards we got a paper from the machine out front and were home by 5:00. The RV Park is almost full. We read the paper, worked our puzzles and cleaned up. I had thoughts of doing the laundry but somebody was in there when I walked over to check. So I sorted it all and convinced myself I'd do it early tomorrow morning.
It's 6:16 p.m. and 76.7 degrees.
