05-21-2005 Hawaiian Special at Gondola

Saturday, May 21, I was up at 7:15. I was surprised to look out and recall how the place had filled up yesterday. One of the weird things about RVing is having a different view out of your window every day, even if you haven't moved! A young couple with a little carrot-topped girl less than a year old is in a small travel trailer next to us. They left in their SUV around 10:00. Some function for kids must be going on in the area this weekend. There are quite a few youngsters here for the first time. Bob took the trash to the dumpster by the bath house and met a mini-Doberman Pinscher. He was razor thin with tall stalky legs.

After breakfast Bob and I got a burst of energy on this cool breezy morning and went outside with the bucket to clean both sets of our clubs. Thus inspired, we moved inside and had a top-to-bottom spring cleaning of the RV. Then we cleaned ourselves up and drove to Lebanon to treat ourselves to Pizza at Gondola. We tried their Hawaiian Special; ham, pineapple, green pepper, and tomato. What a great crust! It was one of my all-time favorite pizzas ever.

We got gas and a paper on the way to Gondola's so all that was left was to hop into Wal-Mart for a couple of things we forgot the other day. I found a First Tee golf glove, happy to support their worthy cause. Back home we read the paper and enjoyed a cool breeze blowing through the open windows. CSI: NY was a repeat so TV was a bust. I tried to call Carla around 8:15 but no answer. Hope she's resting and I didn't rouse her. I chatted with Mom for a bit. Then we watched a Star Trek: Enterprise that we hadn't seen.

It's 10:21 p.m. and 73 degrees in my nice, clean RV! We read a bit in bed before lights out.
