Bob looked up some golf courses. I chatted with Patti and got email then uploaded my journal pages. I also found the website for my niece, Megan's, wedding dress. She called last night and we had a fun chat. It was exciting to see her dress, a Maggie Soterro. It was noon by the time we quit playing around on-line and got ready to go golfing. A weather check on-line said thunderstorms possible tomorrow so we'd better get our golf in today.
Yesterday this couple pulled into the slot next to us. What a rig they have! When they're not around I'll try to take a picture. They have a fairly small travel trailer, maybe 26 or 27 feet. But they're pulling it with a 3500 diesel dually. Sitting in the back bed of this truck is a tall metal shed with bumper stickers all over it. It looks like they have an outhouse in the back of their pickup. We couldn't imagine what was in it. Then he opened it up and we could see it was just piled with 'stuff.' Coolers, lawnchairs, tools, rope, etc. They set up camp and got in the truck to go in to town. I can't imagine driving that huge truck with an outhouse sticking eleven feet up in the air. We think ours won't fit in too many parking garages! Anyway we went to Hunter's Point Golf Course in Lebanon. Not very many people are on at this time of day; 1:15. It is getting really warm too. The sun is bright and intense. We play in 3 hours exactly. So much for walking being too slow. We can boogie when there are no slackers in front of us. Bob shot lights out while I lost my temporary brilliance from the last three rounds. Golf fame is fleeting.
We ate at Gondola Restaurant and this time tried the pasta. Spaghetti for Bob and Ravioli with meatballs (odd combination) for me. This was the best red sauce since we left The Hill in south St. Louis. After dinner Bob walked next door to get a paper. Then we battled the 5:15 traffic to get home. We lounged and read the paper, sat outside and saw a glider guy come by in a flying contraption.
It's 7:40 p.m. and 74.5 degrees.
