Around 1:30 we went to The Superburger just north of downtown Lebanon. It was a regular hamburger joint but non-smoking laws in public places and restaurants are stuck in the legislative session here in Tennessee. About a dozen people in the place were chain smoking; including the two waitresses. We had super cheeseburgers and ordered a piece of chocolate cake to go. We got a paper on the sidewalk out front and went back home to enjoy both.
At 5:00 I went to the office with the laptop and got a bunch of stuff done on-line. I got to chat with Patti for quite a while. My postcard friend, Dorothy, in Arab sent an email and I caught my breath as she described a serious health issue last weekend that landed her in the emergency room. She's home now and my heart goes out to her and Ed. Life can sure throw you some unexpected curves.
I chatted on the porch as I was packing up with MaryAnn. She was watering the many plants she has beautified the grounds with. They need rain here. She sold her house in NY (lost her Dad recently too.) They like it here and my look for a small place nearby. Back home I made a salad and we settled in to watch the final two episodes of Enterprise. For the first time in over 25 years or something there will be no Star Trek on TV.
It's 9:20 p.m. and still 74.7 degrees. We're putting "Sideways" in the DVD.
