That's right, we have a bus and will hopefully using it for RAGBRAI and other rides. Ron "Busman" Perdunn found a bus at an auction and won the bidding. Now we have the task of renovating it and modifying it for bike and camping use.
The bus is a 1981 Wayne Bus body. Unfortunately, the company is now kaput, so parts are hard to find. It does run, but needs some body and frame parts. Of course it has to be adapted to accept bikes and gear and sleeping quarters. We have a committee working on that (see the Team Wayne minutes for 30 Jan for more info).
Team Wayne members will be encouraged to contribute to the working capital needed to renovate the bus. Right now the buy in is $250 (that's US dollars only).
