Adapter/Director for Song of Lawino

Ms Vasilevski recently received a mentorship from the Joyce SoHo to collaborate with choreographer Larry Goldhuber on an original dance theater piece Julius Caesar Superstar.

She also adapted and directed the dance theater work, Song of Lawino by Ugandan poet Okot p'Bitek, collaborating with Jawole Zollar and Urban Bush Women. Song of Lawino was presented at Dance Theater Workshop, toured nationally and featured in the London International Festival of Theater.

For Dance Theater Workshop she has also directed Andy Kirshner's The Watchtower with choreographer Sondra Loring and (under) Cover Girls, choreographed by Pat Hall with composer Pam Patrick, as well as participating in new dance pieces with Bill T. Jones, Larry Goldhuber, Heidi Latsky, Nami Yamamoto and Sondra Loring, among others.
