I was sick to my stomach when I found this out.............

Mainly to the women out there. You know those pretty purses we buy OR the designer coats with fluffy fur around the edges of collars and sleeves........? It says Faux Fur.

Faux meaning: not genuine or real; being an imitation of the genuine article; in other words FAKE!!!

OR is it really???

OK ready for this? It's very likely that the Faux fur you have is CAT or DOG!!!

Each year over 50 million animals—including millions of dogs and cats—are killed for their fur worldwide. Although the fur industry does its best to keep the cruelty out of sight, suffering is a common ingredient in all methods of procuring fur, from fur factory farming to trapping. Many, perhaps more than half, of these animals are killed specifically for fur trim—it is not a by-product.

I wanted to post a slide show on myspace to spread the word. I think its important to educate others on this form of abuse. However the videos on Youtube were more than I could handle and I wouldnt want my children to see them. These animals are often skinned alive!!!! They are tortured before they die!

Protect consumers and animals by stopping the sale of fur from raccoon dogs—a member of the dog family sometimes skinned alive in China—and requiring all fur garments to be labeled. Recent HSUS tests showed that animal fur is frequently mislabeled or marked as faux fur.
