After racing my old faithful MG TC (owned since new in 1948) at most of the Monterey Historics, I felt it was time for a change.  I was fortunate in locating a 1934 Morgan SS in Monterey, of all places.  While it was complete and running, it was in dire need of a major restoration.  I completely dismantled the whole works and rebuilt everything, maintaining originality as much as possible.  I machined all new suspension and running gear parst as well as many internal engine bits.  I made new front spindles from a Toyota truck rear axle and annealed a TC camshaft to make new exhaust valve guides.  Quite an undertaking but mostly fun.

I completed the project in time for the 1990 Monterey Historics and have raced in all since, as well as one time at San Diego (ugh-terrible!), five Wine Country Classics and three Buttonwillows.  The car is a blast to drive and has completed all events entered with the exception of one Wine Country when a metal brake line cracked, and one Buttonwillow when a king pin sheared.
