So, Burkard Heim was a German theoretical physicist who devoted a large portion of his life to the pursuit of the unified field theory.

Heim thought that by expanding upon general relativity and rewriting the equations in a quantum mechanical framework, he would find the general form of the unified field theory.

So, he set out to find a way to relate electromagnetic fields to gravitational fields using transformations, he thought that if he could do that then he could derive the other forces in the same way.

Heim began working on his theory in the 50s and published it in 1977 and later on the physicists droscher and hauser worked with heim to extend his theory.
