If we find that dark galaxies out number visible galaxies to the extent predicted, this could be a solution to the CDM problem.  When a dark galaxy is identified, we can then focus our dark matter studies on it to better understand its nature, but we will need better observation techniques and satellites that are a lot more sensitive to gather data from these regions and perform untargeted searches for other dark objects.
