Super Bowl Sunday!

Wow, what a game...it was one of the best games in the past few years (another one being the comeback by the Rams against the Titans a few years back). If you're totally oblivious as to football, the New England Patriots, 14 point underdogs, upset the St. Louis Rams with a field goal with 7 seconds to go in the game. I guess if you're going to have a Cinderella season like the Patriots did, then the best way to finish it off is with the Lombardi Trophy in your grasp after the game's done. Yay for Tedy Bruschi, linebacker for the Patriots (and fellow University of Arizona alum). =)

However, with all due respect to the people personally affected by the September 11th tragedy and to our troops fighting out in Afghanistan, i think Fox went a little overboard on the whole patriotic theme to the whole Super Bowl. Also, while Paul McCartney and U2 are definitely first class artists, i still don't understand why they were chosen to do the entertainment, considering the whole patriotic theme. Shouldn't they have chosen someone...oh, i dunno, American maybe? hehehe =) I will say that i'm proud that Mariah Carey didn't have a nervous breakdown while doing the Star Spangled Banner...and that she dressed pretty decently as well. =)

I watched the game with my friend Noranne over at BJ's, which is a Chicago pizza / microbrewery type restaurant chain here in SoCal. It was pretty packed with people watching the game, which means that a lot of them were either Rams fans from when the Rams were still here in L.A. or Raiders fans (from when the Raiders were still here in L.A.) and were cheering for the Rams because they were upset that the Patriots beat the Raiders in the Snow Bowl. hehe...at least that's what they sounded like. It's always pretty fun hearing the roar of the crowd...

In other cool news, my Arizona Wildcats once again came from behind to win a basketball game, this time beating Stanford in overtime on Saturday. They didn't lead like the whole game, but tied it to put it in overtime and then were able to pull off a win. Cool.

Ahhh...back to school tomorrow. At least i get a *little* break in that one of my classes is cancelled for the day because our professor is out of town. Yay.

Created with Blogger, Notepad, some sticks, duct tape, and a Phillips screwdriver. None of that fancy stuff, you hear?!?
This page is best viewed on my computer screen, but i'm sure if i had a bigger & better monitor it'd look nicer.
At any rate, i sold out and optimized this page for Internet Explorer 5.x/6 and a 1024x768 resolution for you folks.
(Although, i'll admit it's pretty decent on Netscape/Mozilla as well. So don't you worry one bit.)
But if you can't swing any of that, please update your freakin' ghetto computer.
