Eureka on the Silverton Union- New track can be seen in front of the depot where it hasn’t been ballasted yet. This siding was recently widened to accommodate K-36s due to traffic increases which required leased equipment until the arrival of the rumored diesels. Some of the older employees have threatened to retire rather than run something with an oil motor in it. What is strange is that some of the same folks bump those with lesser seniority when runs of "Casey Jones" are posted.
