Movies:

Apart from comedy, horror and science fiction, I must point out my all time favourite movie of all time is the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.

I also have (and have read) all of L. Frank Baum's original Oz Books and I have been a member of the The International Wizard of Oz Club..

In fact, you will find my name listed in the acknowledgments of the fabulous comprehensive John Fricke book The Wizard of Oz : The Official 50th Anniversary Pictorial History. (Author John Fricke is also a well respected Judy Garland expert and is a former president of the International Wizard of Oz Club).

If you happen to have the 50th Anniversary edition of the 1939 movie on DVD (with its original sepia tone), the narration text of the Lost Footage segment was written by my friend John Fricke. I have no idea why The Powers That Be did not let John do the voice over rather than the unnamed sleep-inducing voice they used. John Fricke is a talented cabaret singer with an excellent voice.

Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz Connection; CD Dark Side of the Moon of Pink Floyd used as the soundtrack to "Wizard of Oz"… (they also have the same sort of information for Disney's Fantasia).

). I keep meaning to update this particular page. I may soon add just a listing of some of my favourite genre films, but it is no secret that one of my favourite film series is the Star Wars films.
