After two years of marriage my brother Alan and sister-in-law Tricia announced that they were expecting their first child. Incidentally, both of them have been on the USANA nutritionals for about two years now. Compared to most, the birth went rather smoothly. On Tricia's November 19th birthday, after several hours of on-and-off contractions, her water broke at around 5:50pm. The two arrived at the Hackettstown hospital [New Jersey state] at 7:50pm and just in time managed to get her into the tub for the smooth waterbirth. Since they chose to have the baby via Natural Childbirth, the birth was without the use of pain-killing drugs. |

Alan reported that Tricia was great throughout. She listened to the midwife and coaches (Alan and her RN mother), and at 10:50pm EST, Tricia gave birth to their first male offspring, so healthy that on his Apgar test he scored a 9.9...! The couple had chosen to wait until the birth to learn the sex of their child; who came in weighing an even 8 pounds and measured 20.5 inches in length. Shortly thereafter by email our mother Jeannnette notified me of the birth, indicating that at that time a name had not yet been chosen.
