I have been on the pagan path since about 1989. From boyhood I learned self healing and generating healing energy, having been raised originally in Christian Science, where I also gleamed the concepts of natural duality of Deity (a hymn written by Christian Science founder Mary Baker Eddy states one of her poems, "Father-Mother God"). |
|
|
From Vinnie's classes as well as various workshops and lectures, I was taught an eclectic mixture of Celtic and Strega (Italian witchcraft). (A short time after I moved to the west coast, Spellbound was sold, the new owners of which sadly drove it into the ground in but a few short months.) Over the years I attended open Full Moon rituals and Open Sabbats at the New York city open pagan networking group New Moon New York. |
|
|
Although making numerous pagan friends over ensuing years, I remained a not-by-choice Solitary during my early years in the Craft. Moving to the west coast in late 1997 to pursue acting, I found the (then newly opened) metaphysical shop Raven's Flight in North Hollywood and, immediately welcomed there, found myself to be Home, befriending many, including (but not limited to) eventual Dragons' Heart Coven creator and founder Mary Shelly. |
|
|
I am honoured to be part of this path and (as of October 13/14, 2000 CE) a First Level Intitiate witch in this coven.
My patron gods include (but are not limited to)
Thespis
and
Tubal Cain
and in the more sensual aspects,
Pan
and
Dionysis
(with a hint of Bacchus…).

A lifelong animal lover, I spent four years with insultingly low pay (as I was there to be and work with the animals) as Animal Control Officer (ACO) at PAWS Animal Shelter in Montclair, New Jersey. Apart from the dogs and cats at the shelter, as ACO, I got to play on a daily basis with wildlife: catching bats and squirrels who'd made their way into homes; wrestling raccoons, picking up 'possums, scooping up skunks, and having to deal with always-nasty groundhogs. |
|
|
A few months after being summarily fired for an error not my fault, I brought in my first cat Bast to the local vet also used by the shelter.

|
My Torti cat Isis remains on the east coast with my brother Alan, while locally I share his life with my cat Morrigan. Alan and his wife Trish also produced my first nephew, Jared. | ||

Initially a major fan of J. K. Rowland's awesome
Harry Potter fantasy-mystery book series as well,
at the
official Harry Potter web site,
I took the multiple choice inquiries for the
Sorting Hat ceremony
in the site's Hogwarts Academy.
Not surprisingly, I was placed in Hufflepuff
(read the books…)
complete with Badger mascot icon on the Hufflepuff House Shield.

An
actor
since the age of eight, I am a full member of the
Screen Actors Guild
(SAG).
I can be seen in a few
commercials
including but not limited to a Game Shot Network promo in which I played a Baker yelling "Botulism…!" at a TV game show contestant (even after nearly two years, the promotional spot aired for over a year and a half.
I've worked on and appeared in several films, such as the Milkman in the June 2004 Garfield live-action movie. In the 2003-2004 season of the ABC drama The Practice I got my first contract Day Player role, playing opposite and directly interacting with Sharon Stone. |
|
I worked with actor Michael Beardsley on both the feature film comedy hit Dude, Where's My Car? and a TV episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The two of us are very visible in Dude, Where's My Car? in which (as a New Age Cult Member), I drive one of two cult cars surrounding the Dudes' leased black covertable (on the DVD it's at the very beginning of Chapter 15). On the DVD audio commentary, director Danny Lanier directly refers to me (albeit not by name), specifically regarding my Dude page! |
|
|
July 4th, 2001 twice aired on The Learning Channel a documentary on the building of the Statue of Liberty in which I portrayed historical figure Edouard de Laboulaye. |

During a pathworking I met up with a playful and mischievous young dragon named Skowt.
In various pathworkings, as well as various rituals and magickal workings, the somewhat sarcastic young dragon (resembling the

to the left and the .GIF to the right) has hung around me ever since.

I am a shameless "Rennie," back east annually attending the Tuxedo, New York Renaissance Faire. As most of the Dragons' Heart Coven are also Ren Faire enthusiasts, I am finally attending more Faires out here. For my birthday (in 2002), I was presented with a magnificent sword from Mary and Ed, the impressive custom leather sheath Ed made himself, complete with Badger engraved thereon in Nordic Runes. When digital photos are taken they will be added here. |
