Hi, there! I'm Russ, a New Englander transplanted to sunny Florida. I play Dobro, basing my style on some of my favorite players, like 'Brother Oswald', Josh Graves,Carl Bailey, and Jim Warren. I sing, just a little, and love Bluegrass and Classic Country.

I belong to the Soggy Bottom Bluegrass Bunch, which meets each month at Sertoma Youth Ranch near Dade City, FL, to play BLUEGRASS MUSIC, camp, EAT, and socialize. We have good music and fun. Stop and say 'Howdy'if you're in the neighborhood. The club meets the first FULL weekend of each month.
(There is no connection between the CLUB and the Soggy Bottom Boys in the film)

I travel to bluegrass festivals and vacations with my wife Donna, and our cat T.C., in our motorhome. I also enjoy fishing and camping now that I am retired. We have three children, and as many grand children, living around the country, whom we love to visit during our travels.

My wife enjoys quilting, cross stitch, crafts, reading, tv, and she also plays the autoharp. She is my co-pilot on our travels, keeping track of the routes, money, camps, etc. She is a great help to me.
