The community of Whetstone has gathered together to help shape the future of the area. The Zoning Sub-Committee is charged with making recommendations, to the community as a committee of the whole, with respect to planning the growth of the future community.

"The purpose of defining zoning and zoning policies within the Whetstone Area Plan is to manage the future growth of the greater Whetstone Area, and to promote an orderly, well-planned approach to growth. A land use balance is sought, one that will enhance the economy and the quality of life for people choosing to live in the Whetstone area."
