The Slugfests

[Trane] The Slugfests are about as mysterious as any group connected with The Insignificants. Purportedly to be a group of vocalists brought in by SanWich, these guys have "The Insignificant Sound" down pat. If one didn't know any better one might even think they are "The Lads" themselves. Legend, Myth, whatever it is you want to call it states that this group originated in the dark dank Blues bars down on the south side of Costa Rica. It was there that SanWich on one of his many convalescences spotted them and immediately brought the group to the States. It is reported that he smuggled them all in some car called "The Banana Slug", but as usual with anything dealing with SanWich nothing can be proven. All that can be said is The Vienna Boys Choir these guys are not.
