Persian Dance Discography

Persian Dance Discography

Reng-e Raqs - Bejonbun. "Dance music -- Shake it".

In my opinion, this is a better collection of music for Persian dancing than the previous item, but it is no longer commercially available. Until someone re-issues it, you can order a copy through me at $12 each (CD), which includes postage and something set aside for a usage fee, if I can ever figure who holds the copyright.

Side 1

1. Shekufe. "Classical" solo or group dances.

2. Lale. "Classical" solo or group dances.
3. Bia Bala. "Classical" solo or group dances.
4. Riz Bia. "Classical" solo or group dances.
5. Bandari. Solo or group folkloric dance from Persian Gulf.
6. Arabic belly dance

Side 2

1. Bejonbun. "Classical" solo or group dance; similar to Shateri, "The Baker's Dance"; a suggestive men's solo dance, but also good for a solo women's dance.

2. Khorram Abadi. Folkloric dance from Southwest Iran.
3. Bandari. Solo or group folkloric dance from Persian Gulf.
4. [ The tape label says that the next item is Naz ("classical" solo or group dance); it isn't actually on the tape at all]
5. Arabic belly dance.
6. Reprise of Bejonbun
