Rev. Richard Boger, Jr. died suddenly on July 30, 2004. He was 52. He maintained a web ministry for the many years. For the past three years he was the pastor of Saint Michael Lutheran Church in HIgh Point, NC. From 1990 until 1998, he served as pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall, NC. During the ten preceding years he was the pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, NC. Pastor Boger received his B.A. from Lenoir Rhyne College and his M.Div. from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, then in 1979 he interned at Our Shepard Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, GA, where he married his high-school sweetheart the following April. Pastor Boger is survived by his wife, Jill Howard, his son, John Michael Howard Boger, and his sister, Cheryl Schwartz. There will be a memorial service at Saint Michael Lutheran Church, 100 Skeet Club Road, High Point, NC, on Saturday, August 7, at 2:00 pm.
