The laundry area
represented a bit of a challenge: While a previous owner had
installed a skylight which brightens the area considerably, we
wanted in addition to avoid the look and feel of a utility room.
Since we have
front-loading washer and dryer, we ended up installing a countertop
and sliding doors to make the appliances invisible, while preserving
easy access.
When we purchased
the house this area had the mahogany paneling. Painting the walls
and doors of bedrooms, bathroom, and linen closet have made this
part of the house more cheerful.
Finally, we chose
the same cabinetry as in bathrooms and kitchen, here in a bold red
color. |
