The family
room layout is a bit awkward, mainly because of the garage door,
which limits
the flexibility and opportunities for arranging furniture.
The pictures on this
page show the initial setup we chose after moving in. In the
meantime, we have re-arranged sofa and chair to create a more
distinct sitting area, and we have also painted the door garage door
in wall color to make it less of a visual standout.
The room is
especially nice in the afternoon, when it gets a lot of sunlight through the
huge sliding glass door.
