The current layout of
the kitchen should be very close to the original layout as far as we can tell. We
did not change water or gas pipes, and still have the sink, dish washer,
and fridge on the wall to the dining area. As mentioned, the door
that existed between kitchen and dining area had already been closed
by a previous owner to gain cabinet space.
The island
separates kitchen from family room and features a slide in range.
While the original layout included a small dining table as part of
the island, we opted for a more "modern" layout and added
space for a bar and chairs.
