The dining
area is really part of the overall living room, and provides a good
spot to have a view of backyard, living room and atrium.
The original
floor plan featured a separate door to the kitchen close to the exterior
wall, which one of the owners before us had already closed from the
kitchen side to gain cabinet space.
The door was still visible from
the dining room side, but when painting the walls, we covered the
door from that side as well. The pictures to the right provide
another before and after paneling perspective.
As stated elsewhere,
we installed cable lighting in a number of areas.
Here it allowed us
to add spots to highlight the photographs on the walls without
needing to do electrical work. |
