As mentioned
elsewhere on this site, we consider the atrium as one of the main features of the home.
It is
larger than most atriums we have seen in other homes we in the area, and looks like a sunny garden
within the home.
The atrium floor was
tiled when we bought the house, but we replaced
the original floor tile with the same tile we used in the rest of the
house to further emphasize the connection between inside and outside.
In addition,
we installed a water fountain as feature that can be seen and heard
from most of the inside.
The motion and sound of the water
further
integrates the atrium with the rest of the house.
