 A Tribute to Great Grandma Ormsby

NORMA J. ORMSBY, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born April 26, 1929, in Wells County, she was a spokes person for Heritage Park. She worked as a carhop at the Dutchmill Restaurant, Bluffton; worked at Magnavox for 20 years; and worked at McDonald's for 12 years. She loved people and interaction with different activities and years ago enjoyed bowling with her husband. Surviving are her sons, Daniel W. (Betty) Ormsby of Atlanta, Ga. and Keith (Divine) Ormsby of St. Joe; daughter, Cathy Wenger of Fort Wayne; sister, Carolyn (Don) Vance of Sun City, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ormsby on Feb. 13, 2001; and sister, Shirley Bathie. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Lawn, Ossian. Memorials to Heritage Park, 2001 Hobson Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
