02-01-2005 Stark's Boat Shop, Morella Mexican Cafe and O'Brother Where Art Thou?

Tuesday, February 2, is even colder and rainier than yesterday. It felt like we slept in late but I was up before 8:00 a.m. After breakfast I looked at the boat registration papers. By the time I deciphered all of that it was time for lunch. So we drove to Elgin in a cold rain and went to Morella's, a new Mexican place Elaine mentioned last night. Bob had Polla Cancun and I had the Chicken and Shrimp soft tacos Elaine recommended. Bob's chicken was so big the people at the next table wanted to know what it was. He brought most of that home. We stopped for a paper on the way back home.

I called the boat place where we bought the DeLorean so they can send me some documentation we need. They were very helpful. As the rain poured outside we decided to watch our last movie rental; O'Brother Where Art Thou. I had seen it in the theater when it first came out but this was Bob's first viewing. We laughed of course and it was doubly funny for me when I realized how many lines of the movie I had stuck in my head because of my friend Jean who is a Coen brothers' groupie. I looked for my CD afterwards but I think it's in The Beast. No way am I going out there in this cold rain. Our site is kind of muddy after all of the rain and you have to have a major league shoe cleaning every time you go outside.

We had a light snack for dinner and now we're tuning in NCIS.

It's 6:58 p.m. and 43.3 degrees.
