01-11-2005 First Good Hair Day in Ten Months

Tuesday, January 11, I puttered around all morning. The epoxy on my driver shaft is not quite set up yet. One year ago today we spent our first night in The Beauty. It is extremely hard for me to believe that we have lived in our new home on wheels for one year already. It has been more fun that I ever hoped for and I think we have made quite a success of our first year's journey!

Around 11:30 I headed to downtown Austin for my 12:30 hair appointment with Dawn. It was great to see her. We had to catch up on almost a whole year. A lot has happened for both of us. She cut off all of my dreadful mistakes from the various Edwina Scissorshands who haunted me throughout the Midwest this year. We gabbed until we couldn't gab anymore. Kind of weird to think our paths won't cross again now for quite some time.

I headed home, skipping Central Market since the day is getting late. I brought a paper home and we read until the Hong Kong in Elgin opened at 4:30. Then we went out to eat. Back home again we watched NCIS. Glenda called right before that to invite us for West Wing tomorrow night. The phone flashed while Bob was holding it. The ringtone is messed up. It seems to be in silent mode or something and we can't find the right sequence to get it out of that mode.

We have to get up early for dental appointments in the morning.
