We take the DeLorean off the truck so Bob can finish the work on the rack. But first he heads into Elgin around 1:00 to get a haircut. I called my folks and caught them eating lunch. They were back home just after nine this morning and Dad is doing okay. I told Mom I'd give them a buzz tomorrow after he sees the doctor again. It was nice of Michelle, my sister in law, to give them a ride. Bob's back from his haircut in a jiffy with a newspaper. I'm in the middle of making a pizza (hey, it's easy now that I have all of the ingredients!) We have pizza, salad and wine. Then I read the paper while Bob puts the bolts in the boat rack for backstops.
I put my new 5-wood in my golf bag and axe my old 4-wood. My swing speed has changed and I'm moving up to stiffer shafts in an effort to improve my distance and control. Sounds good anyway:-) I get out the laptop and we make more 'official' looking signs for the dashboard for our brake controller and truck and trailer heights. Our hastily handwritten sticky notes were still up there as a temporary posting from last year's frenzied flight out of Texas. Amazing the things you can get done when you sit still for a few months. Glenda called this afternoon. She's back from her New Year's weekend in Brenham. We plan to join her for West Wing tomorrow night.
We had a snack of leftover fajitas and now I'm updating my journal pages. I printed about two weeks worth of pages and sent them off to Mom and Dad. I got kind of behind during the holidays on printing my pages for my folks. Bob 'borrowed' another light bulb from one of the lamps in the trailer to make sure the problem with the light above the stove is really the bulb. It would seem that there is some other problem. He has a bunch of wires and meters all over the countertop. I'm trying to stay out of it.
It's 7:00 p.m. and 69.8 degrees.
