12-31-2004 Happy New Year's Eve

Vintage Bread Dough OrnamentsFriday, December 31, I'm running out of time to meet all of last year's resolutions! I retrieved the putters from the truck this morning so I can work on my '05 resolutions. After breakfast I went through the rest of the mail and sorted, filed and updated records. Bob put his slick rails on the boat rack. I made my first pizza in the RV (chicken, sausage, peppers, artichokes, mushrooms and black olives.) It turned out great; you can't go wrong with a Pampered Chef baking stone.

Bob finished up outside, then while he cleaned up I went into town for a paper. I cruised through HEB for a few things but there was not one parking spot so I kept on going. Everybody must have dropped in for a New Year's Eve snack. I got what I needed at the convenience store when I got a paper. Then I stopped at Beall's (haven't been to the Elgin store yet; it opened after we left town.) They had some good 50% off sales and I found a couple of bargains. I was back home by 4:30.

We read the paper. The tsunami toll is estimated at 119,000. Relief efforts are difficult due to the breadth and scope of the disaster.

We had chips and dip and watched Kill Bill 1 & 2 in a New Year's Eve marathon. That got us to 10:30. It's 10:55 p.m. and 63.5 degrees. It was a very warm day and kind of windy.

I love these pictures my sister, Carla, sent of bread dought Christmas ornaments we made together one of the first years Bob and I were married (almost 30 years ago!) I'm glad they found a new home. I used to display them at Christmas every year. Now she can keep the memory alive!

Aways loved the detail on the Mouse. There's a camel too, but Mom may have that one
