12-19-2004 Happy Birthday Greg!
Sunday, December 19, Happy Birthday to my brother Greg in North Carolina. It is a gorgeous day here. It warmed up early. We had a high of 80 degrees! After breakfast I called Glenda and headed to her place with my laptop to use her modem. Bills are due and I don't like to do that on wireless. On the way to her place I stopped at HEB for a paper and a few grocery items. When I downloaded my email at Glenda's an email notice from my ISP yesterday said my mailbox is full. I haven't downloaded since Dec. 4 at the Frothy Monkey cyber cafe in Ruston, LA.
Peggy dropped in to give us pumpkin bread that she forgot to give us last night. Glenda was watching the Cowboys' game and said that must be why Bob didn't come with me. He actually stayed home and worked on the boat rack in the warm weather. Glenda had a nice fire going. I got all of my on-line business done and we enjoyed coffee and a slice of Peggy's bread.
I was home by 3:30. We had soup and mini sandwiches for lunch on the tray tables (the golf clubs are gone but now the boat rack is on the kitchen table so the glue can dry!) We watched the Wendy's Three-Tour challenge; the LPGA won (Julie Inkster, Grace Parks and Kristie Keri) defeated Fred Couples, John Daly and Jay Hass from the PGA Tour, as well as Tom Kite, Craig Stadler and Peter Jacobson from the Champions Tour. It was hard to tell the PGA from the Senior Tour!
We read the paper. Later in the evening I made a Braunsweiger Ball and we snacked.
It's 8:43 p.m. and 45.4 degrees. A cold front is on the way Tuesday or Wednesday.
