12-03-2004 Journaling and the Campground Cat

Friday, December 3, there was a fog over the lake this morning. But it cleared by 9:00 and turned out to be a gorgeous, sunny day. Bob made breakfast tacos and then after we ate I finally got a burst of energy and printed mailing labels for my Christmas cards. Bob put the new windshield wipers on the truck, dumped our tanks and then set off to fish for a while. I started catching up on a week's worth of journaling. It's easy to let it go when I have no Internet access.

I called Mom for Aunt Mary's new address. I forgot to ask her how much snow they had gotten up there. It's hard to remember these things when it was 59 degrees here today. Bob came back and we took a break for lunch. Just as he was leaving to fish again, the campground cat came up to the door. So of course we had to give him a piece of turkey. I guess pickin's are slim since the campground is empty. Although Bob said a 5th wheel pulled in down on the other end. So we're not alone here tonight. They have a big brown dog who barked at the cat as we walked by. It seems I have a walking partner now.

Bob fished again but the cool weather chased him in. I'm just about caught up with my journal pages. Now I can get busy on Christmas cards.

It's 5:50 p.m. and 52.4 degrees.
