We had, what else?, leftover turkey dinner for lunch and then went out fishing. The wind is blowing pretty strong. It is only 62 degrees. I never caught a thing on a gold countdown. Bob caught some on the fly rod mostly goggle eyes. Our hands got cold and we went in. We said hi to Jeff and Rebecca. They were sitting out in the chill of the afternoon, the brave souls. Tequila gave a little bark as if to say 'hi.'
Lots of joggers, bikers and walkers are roaming around today. The hunters left yesterday after a pack of relatives joined them for Thanksgiving dinner. Several other campers left today and a few newbies pulled in. We finished the crossword and puzzles, had a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich on leftover dollar rolls. It's 5:39 p.m. and 58.5 degrees.
Around dark we joined Jeff and Rebecca at their campfire out back of their 5th wheel. They had a bright blaze going to ward off the chilly evening. We enjoyed a nice spiked latte and chatted around the glow of the fire. Tequila joined us with her pink sweater on. The full moon shone through the clouds every once in a while. The wind never died down but it was an enjoyable evening by the warm fire. At least until Jeff through a too-wet log on the fire and smoked us all out. Even Tequila had to have a little cough.
We said our goodnights since we have to be out in our lawn chairs early to catch the 8:00 a.m. start of The Big Dog Run. Around 11:30 we found out why the wind never died down. Surprise thunderstorms were discussed for the first time on the 10 o'clock news. The rain started around 11:30.
