            With fifty-four Olympic medals, U.S. Speedskating is the most successful sport in U.S. Winter Olympic history.  The U.S. Speedskating team is comprised of athletes that started their training at the local level.  Local clubs are where skaters first learn the technique of speedskating and develop their skill to become world-class competitors.

 

The Glen Ellyn Speedskating Cub is a local club that has sent two of it’s own Shana Sundstrom and Becky Sundstrom to the Winter Olympics.  Eric Cepuran and Laura Johnson are two GESS skaters that have made the US National Team and are working hard to be Olympic Athletes.

 

Our club is comprised of individual and family skaters, parents, coaches and volunteers all of whom work together to promote the sport of Speedskating. Your donations or financial support will help us to defer the cost of ice, stage meets and purchase much needed equipment.

 

Your financial support will help to carry on the tradition of the Glen Ellyn Speedskating Club in developing our skaters to become Olympic Athletes.
