This 39 y/o male was referred for shoulder MRI to evaluate pain and an abnormal right shoulder x-ray. Selected T2 weighted images from his right shoulder MRI shown above and his x-ray demonstrate findings of synovial (osteo)chrondromatosis. The end result of synovial chondromatosis after it's calcification and formation of loose bodies. At surgery some of the lesions were free loose bodies and others were attached to the synovium.
