

This 55 y/o female presented with recurrent upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Her initial endoscopic evaluation was unremarkable. Recurrent bleeding led to a GI bleeding scan which pointed to a possible source in the upper abdomen. Selected images from a barium UGI are shown above. There is a polypoid mass at the ligament of Treitz. Repeat endoscopy visualized the mass (pictures above) but adequate biopsies could not be obtained. Surgical resection and pathologic evaluation demonstrated a leiomyoma.
