This 32 y/o male was referred for MRI of the right knee with a history of chronic increasing knee pain. Selected saggital and coronal T1 and T2 weighted images shown above demonstrate findings consistent with a synovial hemangioma. Arthroscopic surgery yielded a diagnosis of synovial hemangioma - cavernous type with focal organizing thrombi and synovial lipomatosis.
