This 35 y/o female presented to the ER with acute onset of right lower quadrant pain. WBC - 13,500 /mm³. Selected images from her abdomino-pelvic CT shown above demonstrate abnormal soft tissue attenuation in the region of the appendix and cecum simulating appendicitis. Surgical resection and pathologic evaluation led to the correct diagnosis of endometriosis of the appendix. Oh well, just another one of those cases for my never to be published article: "RLQ Masses In Lasses, That Make Us Look Like Asses". HeeHaw! ;-)
