This 22 y/o male presented to the ER with jaw and facial pain and neck and chest discomfort after dental work. His chest x-ray shown above demonstrates pneumomediastinum (mediastinal emphysema) and subcutaneous emphysema of the neck. Dental procedures are an uncommon cause of these findings.
