The famous Hallicrafter S-40.

Hallicrafter SM 40
Accessory for the
popular S-40 receiver

Top: A fairly clean example of the postwar Fada Catalin model 1000. No doubt more popular today than when new, prices for the 1000 and the prewar Bullet range from $300 to $4500 depending on color and condition. Below: The less popular but more interesting Bendix 526. This excellent example displays a highly desirable intense blue swirl content and has been expertly polished back to it's original sheen by Mr. Jay Bex. Current E-bay prices on these sets range between $300 and $800. The Bendix 526 enjoys the distinction of being nearly Bullet-proof (pun intended), meaning the cabinet is so over-engineered and so thick that it rarely cracks.

***Fada Model 845***
Produced in 1947, this post-Catalin plastic Fada marked the end of the collectible Deco era Fada table top.

My favorite speaker repair source for replacing torn cones, large or small, is Hank Brazeal. He can be contacted at hankspkr@home.com. His work is flawless, as you can see on this Fada 1000.

Something you don't see everyday! A Scott Philharmonic power supply chassis restoration nearing completion and sporting fresh chrome and hand made replacement rivets.
