I have probed the lower troposphere using a variety of techniques. Most of my work has been with audit methods, and has been the driving force behind my development of systems. I have also used a wide range of commercial tethered and free-flight balloon systems, and processed data from thousands of soundings. These techniques included a multiplexed tethersonde system to use two sondes and a single channel receiver with remote activation to obtain a more versatile sounding package.
My most recent system included commercially available technology for data logging and position information to collect temperature and relative humidity data from a tethered balloon to altitudes of 800 meters. This system is used for audits of RASS systems. Follow this link to my innovative sonde techniques page for more information.
