OPV'd Gaggia Evolution, with bottomless portafilter)
Loving it! I use a local-ish roaster's (Capital City Roasters, in Schenectady) espresso blend, and just switched to a ridgeless double basket
from the triple. It's amazing being able to rapidly shift temperature, etc., to
find where a new bean/blend shines.

with brew & steam programming)
Silvia has been great. Really performing
flawlessly. It took about 2 lbs of beans to get the hang of things, but since
that point I have been extremely happy. I have to thank you again for all the
time you spent with me the day of my purchase. That definitely cut down the
angle on the learning curve. Thanks for being in touch,

Martin Smart - California (PID kit for
old-style Gaggia Coffee)
Hi... PID seems to be holding steady. I am
surprised that the set point is so close to the actual water temp at the group
head. Not complaining-I thought there would be more variation. Shots are more
consistent for sure... (non-PID discussion removed) ...the
PID has performed flawlessly and I am enjoying shots as much, probably more,
than ever.

Espresso & self-priming steam valve mod)
The PID is working great - am getting some
really nice shots with that and my Macap. I've even taken to drinking straight
shots instead of my usual latte.
