DEVINAMU

Necessity is the mother of ministry. DEVINAMU was born out of the need of a fight against abortion in Peru. Although abortion is illegal, there is one illegal abortion every two minutes in Peru – per capita, more than the illegal abortions in the United States the year before Roe v. Wade. Pastor David Perry Cruz has begun the fight in the southern jungles of Peru. DEVINAMU (an acronym for the spanish: We must defend the life of the unborn and the woman) was founded to fight this crime against the unborn and their uneducated mothers. One of their projects is a first of its kind home for unwed mothers, giving them hope, education and occupational training – equipping them for the future. Land has been aquired, plans made and preliminary construction begun. But much work remains.

El Arca

80% of the children in Peru are abused. At least 30% of them are abused sexually. El Arca (The Ark) is our response to this need. Abandoned and abused children are given a home, direction and training, and the love they need so badly. Instead of a program, they are given a family. Currently operating with both boys and girls in the home of Bud and Laura, plans are being layed for purchasing land and building a larger facility to house the younger children and teenaged girls along with the Lenzes, and using the current home for the teenage boys and the expansion of the school. If you would like to help with this much needed expansion, please contact us at quechua.call@gmail.com.
